In normal everyday life we never fully develop our muscles and they become tense and shorten. The brain interprets a shorter muscle as a contraction and therefore inhibits the activities of the antagonistic muscles which weaken as a result.  Regular Thai Massage stretches the muscles back to their normal resting length which to help the brain know that all is well and it stops inhibiting the antagonistic muscles. It is soon after this that tension disappears and joint mobility is restored.

​Almost all recipients of Thai Massage feel relaxed, refreshed and much more flexible afterwards. Initial recipients of Thai Massage may find some of the pressing uncomfortable but this usually declines with regular massage.
